- Venice Evacuation Level Map
Evacuation levels are NOT the same as flood zones. Hurricane season runs from June 1-Nov. 30 in Southwest Florida. Proper preparation for these unavoidable disasters can save money and lives. The time to prepare for a hurricane is now, well before a hurricane is forecasted. Create your disaster preparedness plan, practice your evacuation route, know the closest evacuation center (shelter), and build your emergency kit or “go bag. ” Register for Alert Sarasota County, to receive emergency text or call alerts by visiting alertsarasotacounty.com and selecting the City of Venice from the “Sign Up” menu.
- Community Association Board & Annual meeting Held April 15th
Your Community Association held its monthly board meeting and the annual Association meeting on April 15th. The annual meeting is an opportunity for the board to elect directors and officers, and to hear reports from the treasurer, membership officer and the President. The highlight was a special recognition award by the board given to President Roger Effron for his service on the board since 2010 and as President for the past 2 years for his leadership and invaluable insights.

Seminars and Events
The VGRC Community Association is proud to present its 2023-24 series of events and seminars referred to as the Knock Your Socks Off season. As you peruse the list, you will see some new and exciting events as well as repeats of previous resident favorites. We will elaborate on all of these events via our monthly newsletter, Parcels from Paradise. Get your calendar out and mark those events you would like to attend.
Membership
The Community Association has nominal membership dues that support the mission of the organization. Our Board meetings are typically held the second Monday of the month at 3:45 PM at the River Club. All residents are invited to attend.

Hurricane Readiness Team
The HRT is the Community Association’s resident volunteer corps who are called into action if a hurricane is imminent. The Community Association trains and equips the team, and holds readiness seminars.
